The goal of the SPARK Awards is to recognize those that are living the mission of the Civic Partnership by making the Greater Hazleton Area a better place to live, learn, work, worship and play.
The Spark Awards give the community a chance to nominate and recognize the special individuals and non-profit organizations that make a difference in the Greater Hazleton Area. Awards are presented annually at the GHACP Fall Picnic.
The 1999 SPARK Award winners were: Youth (Age 12-18): Joseph Ulichny Adult (Age 19-54): Julia Velez Retired (Age 55+): Carlo DeMarco Organization: Biship Hafey Jr./Sr. HS Key Club
SPARK Award winners received a trophy, sponsored by Fellin's Jewelers of Hazleton.
Applications for the 2000 SPARK Awards will become available in early summer.
